Registered PICU, NICU and Neonates (Band 6) needed to work at various hospitals in Inner and Outer London.
To provide planned nursing care for patients. Ensuring effective running of a ward in the absence of the ward manager. Providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff And/or Assess patients, plans, implements care, provide specialist advice; maintains associated records.

1. Carries out specialist nursing procedures e.g symptom, toxicity management
2. Provides clinical supervision to other staff, students
3. Able to assess, plan, implement & evaluate programmes of care
4. IV cannulation and IV additives (will need to have received specific training for additives at the Trust for that particular assignment)
5. Competent in basic life support
6. Mentorship and preceptorship (skills & experience)
7. Effective communication skills (written, non-verbal & verbal)
8. Leadership skills. The ability to prioritise & meet deadlines; organise work of self & others
9. Self motivated with the ability to motivate others
10. Uses initiative and can make decisions
11. Manages difficult situations effectively
12. Applies current research and theory into practice
13. Works well in a multi disciplinary team
14. Able to organise and co-ordinate services during the absence of more senior staff
15. Minimum 2 years post registration experience
16. Minumum 1 years experience in the field of the assignment
17. Current (within 6 months) evidence based practice
18. Experience in change management
19. Supervision of junior staff/others
20. Experience of managing a ward/department in the absence of the ward manager
