Registered A&E Nurses (Band 6) needed to work at various hospitals in Inner and Outer London.
Assignment in Adult areas. To provide planned nursing care for patients.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
1. IV Cannulation and IV additives (will need to have received specific training for additives at the Trust for that particular assignment)
2. Competent in basic life support
3. Wound management & management of minor injuries
4. Ability to triage
5. Management of trolley waits
6. Able to assess, plan, implement & evaluate programmes of care
7. Effective communication skills ( written, non-verbal & verbal) able to escalate information appropriately
8. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult situations
9. Self motivated, uses own initiative and will make decisions
10. Able to prioritise workload (self and others) and meet deadlines
11. Able to supervise and train junior member
12. Time management and effective delegation skills
13. Leadership skills
14. IT Skills
15. Works well in stressful situations
16. Basic counselling skills
17. Able to respond in rapidly changing environment/ emergency situation
18. 2 years plus post registration experience.
19. 1 years plus experience as a D Grade in an A&E department.
20. Current (within 6 months) evidence based practice in the filed of the assignment (i.e Adult)
21. Phlebotomy & triage experience
22. Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the particular patient group for that assignment
23. Working within multi-disciplinary teams
24. Practices within the scope of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
25. Major incident procedures
26. Child protection issues
27. Reforming Emergency Care Initiative
28. Ability to demonstrate application of the NHS Plan to own sphere of practice
29. Promote people’s equality, diversity & rights
30. Safeguarding children awareness training required
